St. Peter’s Church
St. Peter’s was originally a small building seating 500, built in 1830 by Decimus Burton when Southborough became an independent ecclesiastical parish. In 1883 the Church was was extended by Ewan Christian, who added the spire flanked by 2-storey projection. The former school was located behind the church, and lessons frequently took place on the Common or in the adjoining woods.
The church is a Grade II Listed Building.
