The road currently being built to serve the new housing on the Ridgewaye Fields has been formally registered at Salomons Grove in respect of Sir David Salomons importance and contribution to the local area. The four apartment blocks have also been named (with no obvious connection to the locality) from right to left starting at the London Road end; Burbank Lodge, Atherstone Heights, Radford House and Heywood Lodge.

High brooms brick and tile company office

The Southborough Society objected to the part destruction and future demolition of the Brickworks office on North Farm Road. You can read about our views and some local history in a Courier article here.

The building is a 'Non-designated Heritage Asset' which sadly does not protect the building from being demolished. The Southborough Society had consulted the Listings Co-odinator at Historic England who advised that the building is unlikely to be a successful candidate for listing as it fails to meet a number of their key criteria.
